HP Pavilion 15-AB223CL

The HP Pavilion 15-AB223CL laptop is designed to enhance work and entertainment. Its major features are that it's been redesigned to be more powerful for gaming, watching, and storing. With a Windows 10 Home (64-bit) operating system, you can watch DVDs, use the built in Cyberlink media, and have tons of storage and access with Snapfish.

Known issues with this laptop have been with the touch screen, including possible oxidation in the connections. Before taking apart the screen, the keyboard to get into the computer wasn’t completely functional. A message appears that requests the password to the user and only certain letters respond to touch. After the screen was taken off of the laptop, there was a piece of adhesive sticking the connector to the computer that needed a slight adjustment for the touchscreen to be fully functional.

The first edition of this device was released in August 2015 and discontinued in 2021. This laptop-notebook was available for purchase by most major countries. According to eBay, this laptop is still being recycled and resold for about $60-$100. On the Walmart website there is a refurbished version for about $400 so the price varies.

The HP Pavilion 15-AB223CL can be identified via its all silver body and its touchscreen feature. The HP Pavilion 15-AB223CL when closed has a 0.99 inch height with a 15.14 inch width and 10.28 inch depth. When flipped on its back side, the laptop reveals two distinct switches, both of which can be easily identified via their respective logo (left shows a lock icon and right shows a battery icon).

The model number is physically located where the battery is at. To do this, flip the laptop upside down and slide two switches towards the center to pop out the battery, which then reveals the HP Pavilion 15-AB223CL model number.
