If you are not sure that this is the device you are looking for, HP generally places the model name and number on the top rim of the computer screen.
This is a LARGE computer. Weighing in at almost 10 pounds, this mechanical monster packs a lot in a relatively small space. Having such a large amount of hardware, however, can cause problems - mostly heating issues. It is also a relatively old, so connections within the device might be old and shoddy, which could cause lowered performance or disconnection of crucial parts.
NOTE: Being that it is 7 years old, finding spare parts might be difficult and expensive due to the specificity of the parts. It might be prudent to cut your losses and get a new computer altogether.
