Lite-On LightScribe SHM-165H6S Repair

The LightScribe SHM-165H6S was announced as an addition to Lite-On's line of optical drives in January 2006. It has a wide variety of reading and writing speeds and formats. It has other features such as HyperTuning and OverSpeed. This product additionally supports HP's LightScribe Direct Disc Labeling system allowing the user to burn images or text onto certain discs.

On the top of the Lite-On LightScribe SHM-165H6S there is a label that contains various technical details such as the model number and manufactured date. The model number is located around the top middle of the label, under "DVD/CD REWRITEABLE DRIVE." The manufactured date is located on the bottom right of the barcode sticker that is below the technical detail label.
