Punkt MP02 Repair

The MP02 is the successor of the MP01 by the Swiss based company Punkt. It runs on a customized version of Android and is fully controlled by the keypad (it has no touchscreen). The phone is 4G compatible and charges via USB-C.

The Punkt company was founded in 2008 in Switzerland with the second iteration of their "dumbphone," Punkt MP02, being released in 2018. They created this device to combat screen addiction and marketed it towards an audience who wanted pure function in a reliable, small form factor. The predecessor to the MP02 is the MP01, which included much of the same footprint and functionality while only being capable of 2G cellular service. The device includes a private messaging software called Pigeon, which encrypts the user's messages and metadata.
