Connection and some hardware info
It has 2 8-pin power connectors, one DVI port, 2 HDMI 2.0 ports and 2 DisplayPort 1.4a ports. It uses a PCIe 3.0 x16 interface. There are some fan headers and an RGB header on the end opposite the video ports. The manufacturer rated TDP is 250W; see TechPowerUp's spec sheet. It supports DirectX 12 and has 11GB VRAM. The factory overclocked version looks virtually identical to the regular version.
Be aware when changing the thermal pads and/or paste that the stock thermal pads are quite thick. This is in order to fill the somewhat large gaps between the PCB components and the frame under the heatsink.
Misc hardware (and reverse engineering) info
This version of the 1080 Ti has 11 GB of GDDR5X VRAM. While the 12GB version was apparently never released, this 11GB card does have 12 spaces on the PCB for VRAM chips (one space is left empty).
There is an empty pad on the PCB labelled BIOS_SW, probably meant for other variants of the graphics card that came with two BIOSes. When asked about the nonexistent switch (in 2026, see screenshot below), ASUS stated that the BIOS_SW pad is not meant for user modification, but wouldn't explain why this version didn't just come with a switch!
