Background
The Sony Cyber-shot P series was started in 2000 with the DSC-P1 camera. This series of Cyber-shot cameras is recognizable by one side of the camera being curved. The final camera in this series, the DSC-P200 was released in 2005.
Identification
The model will usually be printed somewhere on the body, otherwise it can be located on the label on the bottom of the camera. The model name will contain the prefix "DSC" (standing for digital still camera). The model will then contain the letter 'P' followed by the model number (for example, DSC-P50).
