Background and Identification
The Syma X5C is a four-channel quadcopter with a built-in camera. The quadcopter features a 360-degree continuous roll and a built-in six-axis gyroscope for more precise hovering. The Syma X5C is sold as a camera platform; its camera has a resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels for still photos and 1280 by 720 pixels for videos at 30 frames per second from its two-megapixel sensor.
According to a review of the Syma X5C from DroneView, the quadcopter is very small and lightweight, which results in some shaky footage. Because the camera does not include a gimbal, the quadcopter really can only take clear photos and videos when there is little to no wind.
The Syma X5C includes a 2 GB microSD card, though the review from DroneView found that the quadcopter is best when the camera is removed and it is flown with the minimum amount of weight. It weighs approximately 900 grams including the camera. The quadcopter is able to fly between seven and ten minutes, depending on the configuration. It can be flown up to 150 feet (50 meters) away. The Syma X5C model includes an X5-08 B brushed motor designed for Syma X5 RC.
The Syma X5C includes a 3.7-Volt 500 mAh Lithium-ion battery. The quadcopter’s remote control requires four AA batteries. It includes the name “Syma” printed in red capital letters with the name “X5C” underneath.
