The T-Mobile G2 is a branded HTC Desire Z, which is a smartphone released in 2010. As the successor to the G1, the G2 has a sliding keypad, 3.7 inch LCD, and comes with Android 2.2.1 (Froyo) installed. The G2 features a fast boot feature, which allows it to power on in less than 5 seconds.

Display defect

Some models will experience a display defect where the display will break and not show anything, in addition to looking cracked. HTC discovered this issue and fixed it in the next rev.
