Background
The West Bend Just for Dinner Bread Maker is a compact countertop bread maker designed to bake a loaf of bread in just 45 minutes. It was first manufactured by West Bend in ~2009 and has since been discontinued. This model is part of West Bend's bread maker product line, which includes similar machines with varying sizes and features.
This machine has only four control options- two for bread type, and two for temperature selection. On the left side of the interface, there is an LED indicator for Basic/Specialty bread and an LED for Wheat bread. On the right side is a green LED for Operation (making the bread) and a red LED for Keeping Warm. You can scroll through each option using the Bread Select and Start/Stop buttons at the bottom of the interface.
To use the machine, the user must fill the small bucket in the machine with dough, choose their desired settings, close the lid, and press start. The bucket will begin to heat up, and the motor at the base will start spinning, kneading the dough.
Users typically report that the motor belt fails over time, which can easily be accessed through our disassembly guide.
Identification
This model can be identified by the model number on the original packaging. This specific model only has a capacity of 3/4 lb. of dough. The original sticker on the machine displayed "Just for Dinner", indicating the 45-minute bake time.
