The Acer Aspire A515-46 is an affordable laptop released by Acer in 2021 for students, educators, those who work from home, and those who need a reliable laptop for daily use. This laptop from Acer is lightweight and affordable compared to other Acer Aspire models, such as the Acer Aspire A515-56 and the Acer Aspire A515-57G which still outperform the Aspire A515-46.

This laptop, despite its relatively impressive core, weighs just under 4 pounds and is 0.7 of an inch thick. As expected, this laptop consists of all of the typical ports you would expect to find: on the left side, an HDMI port, an ethernet port, two USB 3.0 ports, and one USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port. On the right side, there is an audio jack for headphones, microphones, or other audio devices as well as a USB 2.0 Type-A port. These USB ports come in handy due to the lack of built-in storage (only 128GB) for this device. The display for this laptop is Full HD at 1920 x 1080p and is relatively bright for its price at 270 nits on a 15.6-inch display. The keyboard is pretty standard; comfortable and backlit for easy typing with a numeric keypad on the right side of the base of the computer. The Acer Aspire A515-46 also clocks in at about 8 hours of battery life for standard everyday use.

The Acer Aspire A515-46 is a relatively standard, but effective model of laptop, especially in 2021 when most people are still working from home and in this technological age where almost all educational assignments are online or require online research. There were no recalls for this specific model of the Acer Aspire, but one of the main issues that lies in its manufacturing is overheating. Despite this, this laptop has been overall endorsed and accepted by many of those who use it in their daily lives.

Other models, such as the Acer Aspire A515-56-50RS are similar to this model but are more expensive, which is reflected in its RAM which is twice that of the Acer Aspire A515-46 as well as double the storage.

The Acer Aspire A515-46 is pretty standard-looking in terms of laptops but has some key-identifying features, such as the previously mentioned backlit keyboard and sleek design that comes in many different colors for personalization. The Acer logo also rests on the back-middle of the laptop as well as resting next to the hinges when the laptop is open. The model number is located on the underside of the laptop's base, just under the vents.
