소개
Many Patagonia backpacks feature a removeable sternum strap, also known as a chest strap, designed to alleviate shoulder pressure and distribute weight more evenly across the chest.
This guide demonstrates how to reattach one specific style of Patagonia sternum strap - the c-clamp - named for its C-shaped cross-section. This style was used on some packs produced between 2009 and 2018.
Replacement parts are currently unavailable. To get a new sternum strap, take your pack in to a local Patagonia retail store for repair evaluation or send it in to Patagonia through their mail-in repair service.

At the exposed area at the base of the rail, slide the c-clamp back onto the rail.
-
Pull tightly on the fabric flap to expose the area.
-
Maneuver as if parallel parking a car. Start at an angle, slide partially onto the rail, and then straighten out.
-
Repeat the steps above on the other backpack strap.
