Using the tuner, loosen the string by turning the tuner.
Continue to loosen the string until it is easily unwrapped and pulled out of the tuner.

Using a phillips head #2 screwdriver, unscrew the two 1.0 mm length screws on the sides of the tuner.
Be sure to keep track of the screws if you are using them for the new tuner, unless the new tuner has screws of its own.
