Sony PS-LX300USB Needle Replacement

소개

The Needle will need to be replaced after about 500 hours of usage. Replacing the needle after this time is necessary to maintain proper sound quality. If you are experiencing low sound quality, the needle may need to be replaced.

    • Flip the needle cover down.

    • Grasp the needle cartridge between two fingers.

    • Pull the cartridge down and towards you to remove it.

    • Angle the cartridge diagonally inside the tone arm.

    • Push up and into the tone arm until you hear a click.

So, my needle wore down from the arm having bumped off the rest and who even knows how long the table was turning! My question is, is it possible to add a tone arm lock? I swore mine had one but, apparently, it does not. I have a Sony ps-lx300usb. It’s so odd, cuz there’s nothing that suggests anything broke off but I distinctly remember a lock! Any guidance would be great!

Did you order a needle from the link on this website? Were you satisfied? I am in the same boat you are. In future I won't be leaving the turntable without an lp on it.

I tried removing the needle and have pulled the metal part out with it, now it doesn't play correctly. Any idea how to source the complete arm / needle unit?
