First Grader's Shattered iPad Mini Screen

My 6 year old dropped his iPad and shattered the bottom right corner pretty badly.

The repair went really well! It was my first experience with the iOpener and it worked a treat!

Two pieces of advice for anyone else attempting this repair.

First, if the iPad you're repairing has significant damage to the lower right or top right corner of the screen, be careful not to throw out those pieces too quickly! There MAY be magnets under that shattered glass you need to keep!

Second, after the full repair, place a slightly heavy book on top of the screen (with a shammy cloth protecting the screen) to make sure the new adhesive sets nicely and you avoid a screen that pops back up around the edges.
