Cable was snapped in half, which occurred during the previous repair which was the front screen replacement. The picture is the broken original cable.

Unbelievably, it works. There are 4 things here, and they all work. Camera, proximity sensor, light sensor, and the speaker (which isn't included in the kit but fits onto the cable).
내 조언
Really focus on how the cable comes out, because the replacement cable does not have the bends in it that will be required to complete the install. It took me a while to reverse-engineer the origami bends to make it fit.
