As you can see from the photo the battery in my MacBook Pro was severely swollen and had to be replaced before it caused a fire.

It went really well. I did find it easier to install the battery pack last, after all the boards were re- installed.

I kept a careful note of where every screw was from by taping them to a piece of paper indicating their position.

One thing that I’ve noticed since I performed this battery replacement is that my MBP will hang sometimes several times per day. I recover it by rebooting but its starting to get annoying.
