No problem but a good idea

I often lose parts and the mat seemed like a great idea. Having the ability to make notes on the work surface enhanced my confidence of actually completing a task without spending more time on my disorganized style than the repair itself.

I haven't tried it yet but cannot see anyway it won't be helpful.

I will report back after first use. It has however raised the confidence level of my wife in my ability to open and repair some of the smaller appliances needing repair.
