Background and Identification
The Beyerdynamic Amiron Home are wired over-ear open-back headphones, released in 2017. The headphones are designed for music enthusiast. The Amiron Home are multi-award winning headphones, with awards such as: Golden OHR 2018, HiFi-Kopfhörer audio category 2017, What Hi-Fi? best on-ear headphones 2020, Hifi Vision 2018 goldklasse, and tom's Hardware Excelent Hardware 2018.
The open-back headphones use improved Tesla technology drives which Beyerdynamic claims to have made a dampened version of, which greatly reduces unwanted vibrations that is otherwise common in the treble region. The Amiron Home, at 340 g, use 45 mm drivers with 250 ohm impedance but at 102 db SPL the headphones are not too hard to drive even though a DAC may be recommended. The headphones has a frequency response of 5 Hz up to 40 kHz.
The Amiron Home connects with two 3.5 mm stereo jacks, terminated into a single 3.5 mm stereo jack. The in-Germany made headphones are Hi-Res Audio certified.
The headphones are tuned warm to neutral, with a V-shaped response. The Amiron Home has a tight sound reproduction and can dig deep into the low frequencies too.
