Background
Sonos, the audio hardware company known for Wi-Fi connected speakers for home and business, announced their foray into the competitive over-ear headphone market on May 21, 2024. Launched a couple weeks later on June 5th, the Sonos Ace are marketed as premium Bluetooth headphones with lossless and spacial audio and active noise cancellation (ANC).
Surprisingly, the Sonos Ace do not support Wi-Fi connectivity like the rest of their speakers. Although you can connect to and control them through the Sonos app, connectivity is left to Bluetooth.
Available in either Black or Soft White, the Sonos Ace retails for $449.
Identification
The Sonos Ace can be identified by the SONOS text on the white or black matte-colored right ear cup exterior and varying mesh colors between the right and left ear cup interiors.
