Have you tried a pram reset? You can achieve this by trying the following: Resetting PRAM (1) Shut down the computer. (2) Press the power button. (3) Before the grey screen appears, press the Command, Option, P, and R keys at the same time. (4) Hold the keys until your computer restarts and you hear the startup sound a second time. (5) Release the keys. Let me know how you go.

we found a solution to this! check both the "v" fuse and "l" fuse. if you have picture but no backlight than you have blown the "v" fuse, if you have no picture but have a backlight check the "l" fuse for continuity as you may have blown that fuse

would love to find a solution to this issue! We are having the exact same issue after many successful screen replacements and no issues. Thought it may have something to do with cheap aftermarket screens so bought a service centre part and same issue. Backlight only???? **UPDATE** WE FOUND A SOLUTION TO THIS! CHECK BOTH THE "V" FUSE AND "L" FUSE. IF YOU HAVE PICTURE BUT NO BACKLIGHT THAN YOU HAVE BLOWN THE "V" FUSE, IF YOU HAVE NO PICTURE BUT HAVE A BACKLIGHT CHECK THE "L" FUSE FOR CONTINUITY AS YOU MAY HAVE BLOWN THAT FUSE

It sounds like you've got a blown backlight filter. Get a flashlight and have a look on the screen. You'll usually just be able to see that the phone is on and working just no backlight to illuminate the screen. Your going to need to get the filter replaced and your screen will work again. Hope this helps

its the backlight fuse that you have blown. When replacing the digitiser do you disconnect the battery first? my guess i no. Always disconnect the battery first and you wont get that problem
