Wont happen. Definitely a different connector. Also bigger capacity batteries don't exist.Any company saying otherwise is lying. Get a new battery from ifixit, they have a lifelong guarantee and you're sure you get something worth spending money on. I am not a ifixit representative but can vouch for their batteries.
As with a lot of laptops there is a hole on the bottom of the laptop where you have to push a screwdriver, or something alike, to push the keyboard out of its housing. Then you can remove 2 screws on the points i described having trouble with and then everything is a breeze from there.
Personally i use CPUID. This should give you the information you need. Also check this thread out: How can I add more RAM? This contains the hardware maintenance manual for your machine.
I think you may have purchased an iphone 5s charge port flex. A proper iphone 5 charge port flex should have the part attached. Where the 2 parts are being separated(on the flex so the left one) is where the prong component should be. An iphone 5s charge port flex will look nearly identical but will be missing the part you need.
Hey Kaher, Something to look at is if the glass is still properly adhered to the frame. If not the 2 screw holes where the pentalobe screws are supposed to go in dont line up properly. Also make sure you install the screen at the proper angle in the top of the phone first. Applying some pressure in the portion of the screen where the screw should be going when screwed in can help.
It's possible. Did you deal with the water damage or just replace the battery? If you only replaced the battery there are a lot of possibilities. Check you connectors and flex cables. Especially check if the battery connector is undamaged and debris free.
Hi, don't fret is most cases your data will be recoverable. Find your specific model from here. Download the manual for your model and look up how to remove the hdd (hard drive where your photo's are stored). Then buy one of these or something like it. That way you will have your data on a external hard drive.
@malcom@paul if you are referring to step 31 the plate needs to be placed as it comes out on the picture. Long flat part towards the top of the casing with the tab facing the right.
