My friend had this same problem. She dropped it as soon as she opened the box. The troubleshooting guide will really help you! Good news though, you can replace it! Take a look and hopefully you don't need a good one!

I had the same problem! If you look on the troubleshooting page, you will see how to fix it! I just got mine and the screen was black. I thought it was already broken! Silly me, I didn't know you had to charge it once you get it! This page really helped! Hope this helps!
