Instead of the sealer that's supplied with a replacement battery or screen, has anyone used electronic silicon sealer to...

I hadn't though about using a sealer that was intended for applications other than electronics. I have tried using a silicon based sealer similar to whats used to secure components, but found it too thick to use with a syringe. Thanks for the video!
더 읽어보기Thanks to all that answered my question. In the next few days, I'm going to see what size syringe will work with some silicon sealer that I have on hand, as the syringes I currently have to apply small drops of oil and liquids are too small. I've also contacted a sealer manufacturer to obtain some of their electronic grade non corrosive silicon sealer, so we'll see how that goes as well.

If using wireless, you might have a wifi issue, either the wifi in the machine software is corrupt or there is a hardware issue, or the batteries are dead in the control devices. If using wired control devices, you might try using a different set (keyboard and mouse) from a known running system, and try them on a different USB port. Did you upgrade the system to Big Sur, or did you get the machine with Big Sur already installed? If you shut the machine down by holding the power button down (provided you have no control of the screen to initiate a proper shutdown) and then do a restart, do you get the startup chimes, or some sort of coded beeping? If you get the chimes, the machine is happy with the ram. If the machine starts with the chimes, does it go to a log in screen, or if you’ve selected to auto login, does it go to your desktop? Or do you get a question mark or some other odd...

Try this: Turn the ignition key on, off, on, off, then on and watch the instrument cluster where the mileage shows. If you get a code of any kind there is your problem. I had a code 0320 which is the crankshaft position sensor. They do wear out and fail, especially when the weather gets hotter. Once the system completes the internal check you will see a 'done'. And even though the OBD code reader will not display the code it can still be cleared.

Got VERY lucky with my SSD replacement. Just leaning the display back popped the cable off the logic board, and I had a very difficult time reinstalling the screen. It might be that the wire bail wasn’t secured in the first place, or the machine has been opened up prior to my obtaining it. I eventually used a parts box to rest the LCD high enough to reinstall the cable. Agree that this should be the first cable to be disconnected and last to be reconnected. Perhaps disconnecting it from the LCD should be considered as a first step?
