Hi Have you tried putting the phone into DFU mode and then restoring? Plug your iPhone into your computer and open iTunes. It doesn’t matter if your iPhone is on or off. Press and hold the Sleep / Wake Button and Home Button together for 8 seconds. After 8 seconds, release the Sleep / Wake Button but continue to hold the Home Button until iTunes says “iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode" Let go of the Home Button. Your iPhone’s display will be completely black if you’ve successfully entered DFU mode. If it’s not, try again from the beginning. Restore your iPhone using iTunes.
The connectors are the same for the digitizer and LCD and the screen will function properly between the models but the parts are physically different and will not fit either way. The sensor layout is also different which would cause the phone to not work properly. The home button is also different. So, no you can't.
Hi This sounds like the ribbon cables for the screen aren't seated properly. Your solution will be to take off the assembly again, disconnect the ribbon cables and reseat them. Making sure everything 'clicks' into place. Thanks
Hi That's an issue with yahoo itself, not your phone. Your best bet is to double check all the settings for your account to see if there is any errors. If there isn't, sometimes removing and adding the account again works. Let me know how you get on Thanks
Hi This could be due to a loose connection on the board. Your best bet will be to take the screen assembly off and double check that the connection is seated properly. Thanks
Hi there, This could be an issue with the wifi antenna that is located near the battery. I'd double check that it is seated properly in its socket. After that turn your phone back on and test. Thanks
Hi, The touch-ID feature will only work with the original home button, if you change the home button with a new one you will only have a normal home button, Touch ID will not work. If I understand correctly you used your original home button and transferred it to your new screen? Have you made sure that the cable for the home button is correctly connected? If not, this can cause issues with Fingerprint scanning. Is the home button smashed/cracked in anyway? this can interfere with the reading of the print.
hi, It all depends on where the water went to after it got into your phone. Best bet is to open your phone (check out repair guides on here if unsure) and have a look at any water damage indication. The top right of the phone is where you have the flex cables, so water could've got onto there and short-circuited the cables. You will need to take the screen off, check for water damage and clean all the connections for the flex cables. Let it dry out before reconnecting. I always find a 'power cycle' of the battery helps. (disconnecting battery from its connector, waiting 30 seconds and plugging back in again)
