My modem stopped working 2 years ago and I have had to connect to the Internet via the Ethernet cable, which works fine. I tried everything, reinstalling software etc etc and had various experts troubleshooting, but no one could find the reason. Last weekend I finally got around to doing something about going it and decided to replace the network card. I followed the video on how to remove and re-install a network card, it was easy. However, before removing the card I noticed that quite a lot of the contacts were visible and I wondered if perhaps the card was not fully inserted. I wiggled about and it didn't move much, I just assumed that was how it was meant to be. I removed the card and wrote down the details from the label to help with ordering a replacement.
