My headset had the same issue. I ended up replacing the connector. If you snip off the connector and solder a new one on that should solve the issue. Just make sure you solder the wires to the same spot they were before. Here is a good guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_conti...
I am not completely sure, but it sounds it could be caused by a broken battery. Try turning it on while it is plugged in. If that doesn't work it , that probably means it's a software issue.
