From my experience the 2017 4K A1418 screens are compatible with the 2019 4K A2116 iMacs and vice versa. FPC repair on a motherboard is very difficult to do. You can easily melt or damage other components or connectors on the motherboard if you don't know what you are doing. You will need a microscope and a good hot air gun with attachments small enough for the connector. You will also need a good flux and a good set of tweezers. You can easily diagnose this yourself. You can connect the MacBook to an external monitor or tv using a USB-C HDMI adapter and run a stress test. If the flickering and artifacts remain on the external monitor then your problem is the GPU and not the display. This is definitely not an easy DIY repair and professionals use an expensive laser machine to burn off the adhesive on the back. The adhesive is really strong and can't just be removed easily. I would not attempt this yourself if you do not have the proper tools because it is really easy to damage the screen or internal components during this repair. I have repaired many iPads in similar condition before and the metal is actually really easy to bend back in place. I would definitely remove the motherboard and battery very carefully before attempting to bend it back though and should be left to a professional if you haven't disassembled an iPad before.
