That might be the case, otherwise you may need to do a full screen replacement. The screen replacement guide on Ifixit.com will show which cables should be connected and if neither of those suggestions work, it’s a motherboard issue, and not cost effective to repair, in my opinion.
You may have blown the backlight out. If you repair phones try a different screen, if that doesn’t fix the issue, then my guess is it’s a mother board issue that would need microsoldering. Also, if you download a program 3utools from 3u.com, that program tells you basic problems with your device.
Hello, I disconnect the front proximity sensor, the only downfall is that you lose the selfie camera function, but I would rather that, than no phone at all.
If you haven’t already fixed this, I have found that disconnecting the front proximity sensor altogether works, however, you lose the selfie camera feature…..
Really? Because I called the company I buy my parts from, and online I am getting conflicting answers as well, and I am getting so aggravated, because the guy who has my watch is in CA, and is not responding, and now I have a screen on the way that is both gps and lte and a watch I could get with a cracked screen that is only gps for 110, so in total I would be paying 175 for a series 3………this is driving me bonkers!!!
You have to make sure you change the logic board (motherboard) with an iCloud UNLOCKED logic board that includes the original home button for that particular logic board, or your touch ID won't function correctly. Also, this may sound like a dumb question, but have you changed the battery yet?
I have run into an issue, I’m replacing the display and managed to get one screw from the three metal plates covering the connectors, they look to be all the same size, but I can’t get the others. Those are all I need to remove and then I can pop the new one on…..any idea which torx screwdriver is used here? I thought it was T3.
Hello, you seem to have quite a bit of experience with MacBooks and water damage. I was given a MacBook Air 2018 model A1932, which my niece dropped, it didn’t break the digitizer, only the lcd, and it needs to be replaced. I found a whole machine, same model, however it has water damage. I realize that the connectors and cables are most likely damaged, but do you think it would be ok to use the screen from it?
Are there any micro soldering techs that do business through the mail. I don’t have any close to my area at all that give me wholesale prices any longer, and I am in need BAD!!!! PLEASE RESPOND ASAP! I do mostly iPhones only. Sometimes there are a few oddballs and I live in MA. I need this person to start ASAP. Thanks!
I am having issues connecting to iCloud and pretty much connecting to servers period. Also, Safari is not working correctly, it won’t load pages that other web browsers will.
I purchased this recently, and it only has 2 GB of memory installed, however, it has a ton of apps installed, including the full Adobe Suite, Pro Tools, Microsoft Office 11, just to name a few…..I am having some issues with the laptop, do you think adding the recommended 2 GB more of RAM may fix some, if not all, of the issues?
@sleepykirito what year make and model and what steps have you tried? Also, have you dropped it or any water damage?

Mobile Sentrix, I just purchased one. Amazon has them as well, but extremely expensive!
