You might want to try connecting the iPod to your computer and opening up iTunes, and then using that to restore your iPod. This restores your iPod to a factory condition, i.e. the condition it was when it left the factory. Be aware though that this will wipe your iPod's contents completely.
Is there another computer you can perhaps try your AC adaptor on, just to see if it's a problem with the AC adaptor rather than something on your laptop? It might be something to try.
Well if the fan is spinning faster just under normal use, it's going to make more noise, even if there is no wear and tear/damage. Often the fans on laptops are either located on the side of the bottom part of the computer (where the keyboard is) or between the screen and keyboard; I would imagine it wouldn't be too hard to disassemble but the trick is putting everything back together properly! If the fan's making rattling noises or it's always making a noise even when the laptop is colder (such as when you first boot) then it's probably damaged somewhere. Not sure if this helps...I don't really know much about your particular computer. Apologies for the long post.
While you get the keys on your built-in keyboard on your laptop sorted, you could perhaps attach an external keyboard if you have one to your computer, and complete your project that way. Good luck.
I looked in the tech specs section for the original iPhone on Apple's site (http://support.apple.com/kb/SP2) and found that it needs Mac OS X v10.4.10 or later and iTunes 7.5 or later to work, so it doesn't look like it'll work with your system. Perhaps you can upgrade your Panther Mac. Sorry about that but I hope this was useful.
You can usually check what kind of charge your iPod has from looking at the colour of the light when you turn it on. Yellow is medium charge, green is fully charged I think whereas red is almost 'flat'. It tells you about this in the little book that comes in the box, if that helps.
So does your Wii no longer read any discs after you put the 2 CDs in? Sorry, it's just that you didn't explain whether you were having any problems. Does it not recognise a disc if you put one in? Does it even fit in the Wii?
