As the paper comes up from the paper tray, it goes through a register under the print cartridge. If it is stopping there before being pulled further into the printer, make sure that all parts of the register assembly move freely. I’ve seen the little felt pad stickers that are placed in different sections of the printer to dampen noise lose their felt over time and become sticky. Parts that touch them become stuck and cause the paper to not be noticed by the register. So turn-off the printer and remove the print cartridge. Look at the roller under it. there will be some metal plates near it. Make sure they move as they should . They are spring-loaded and should be able to flip or rotate forward/back. if you do find the sticky pads (about the size of your small finger’s fingernail), scrape them off.
My moto z2 will reboot if it gets slightly wet (rain, shower). Only a few drops will cause it to happen. When it reboots, the pool were button no longer works. If I then add a moto mod, like wireless charging, the fingerprint/ home button also will not work until I remove it. Then the home button works again. But a few hours later, both work again. I suspect water is causing the power button to “close”, main the phone think you are holding it down. Later it dries and is ok again
