There are multiple problems that could cause this behaviour, but most likely this will be a problem with your screen (touch part). There are only few shops that replace touch only, because this is not cost effective and labour intensive work, so you will need to replace the full screen assembly. Another tip I would give when you bring it to a repair store; Tell them the phone could contain water damage. The screen most likely got damaged because water got in (even though it is a small amount, in the form of water vapour). This could also effect other parts of the phone in the long term. The store will most likely treat the phone chemically to make sure all the water is removed and that it cannot damage the phone further in the future.
Yes, it should work fine. However all digital data related to the Spiderman edition like limited backgrounds or anything (if there is any) will be gone.
A few things are important when opening an iPad; Heat, patience and good tools. Everyone has their own preferred method of opening an iPad. The most important thing is to make sure the iPad is preheated. This makes the glue soft and thus makes it easier to open the iPad. I always heat up the device to about 80 degrees celcius. This means that the you would be able to touch the iPad, but its to hot for holding it a longer period of time. The method I use is to open up a little gap on top, between the case and screen, of the iPad where there are no cables. I always do this with a hobby knife, although it is not recommended to use metal while handeling a device. After there is a little gap, I insert a guitar pick while slowly sliding out the knife. Once the pick is in just wiggle it while putting slight pressure to one side, and go round the iPad.
This can be caused by multiple components. It might be the case that you just have a malfunctioning display. In order to boot up the SIM card the phone needs to unlock it (by typing in the sim code). Also in order for a computer to recognise it the phone needs to give permissions, also by unlocking the phone. If the problem aint the LCD display, it is highly likely to be a problem with the logic board, which I wouldn’t recommend bringing it for to a repair store. The costs of repairing the logic board wil likely be more then the value of a new S6.
Did you punch the driver itself or the protective mesh? There is a big difference. In case you pushed the mesh in the tip of the buds, I would recommend leave it as is. If you pushed the driver I would recommend the same. You are working with tiny, expensive and fragile components. In first place the earbuds are not meant to be resealed so you will never get them to be as they are now. The actual replacement of the driver itself is also a very hard task. If you can come across cheap old broken or used once, it might be a fun learning experience to interchange the component but don’t expect them to come out as they used to be or even working at all.
Hi Edwin, How unfortunate. This sounds to me like a logic board problem. If it would be a problem with the screen or connectors, usually it will work all the time, or none of the time. Talking about the iPhone 6s I would not recommend bringing this to a repair shop. The shop I work at will only start doing logic board repairs from €80 and up. Meaning if you would repair it it would be close to the cost of an iPhone 6s. And repair the problem you have will not guarantee you that no other problems can occur after. I would suggest looking for another phone. Kind regards
