I've seen people use rubber, like a rubber band, in between the screw driver and screw head to assist in removing stripped screws. If you could find a thin enough piece this may help in gripping the screw (with enough pressure). If the screw is badly stripped I may even try and muscle a flat head in enough to remove the screw.
Even with having to pull the camera and home button replacing the screen really isn't too hard of a repair. Just follow the instructions and mark your parts (including screws) as you remove them.
