you should be able to locate the slot on the side near other ports like the USB or power ports. if there is no slot then you may need to buy an wire that can transfer it from SD to USB to make it work.
you could break into your own car or call a locksmith to open it for you. you could make a small gap in the door and use a wire coat hanger but it may dent the door allowing water and rain in.
it could be nothing but check to see where it could fit up if you cannot find where it fits up try and put it back together and see if it works it could just be a braket
