I was able to get it open by holding the post with tweezers to keep it from moving and then unscrewing it!

Also make sure your game’s contacts are clean. If that doesn’t work then you should probably check the board for corrosion and clean that up. Hope that helps!
더 읽어보기You could either try cleaning the potentiometers in the stick with something like BW100 or isopropyl alcohol or just replace the stick. It kinda depends on the severity of the drift if cleaning it would work or if it needs a replacement, so see what works and I hope one of these ways fixes it. Have a great day!
더 읽어보기You are probably going to need to replace it. If you are comfortable soldering then I would suggest doing it, and if not see if you can find a repair shop to do it. You'll probably need to use hot air. Have a great day!

If I were you I would give the board and contacts a good cleaning with isopropyl alcohol. As for the sound, first I would check the headphone jack. If there is corrosion that may cause your issue as the signal for the audio is bright through that before being sent over to the speaker. If it’s corroded then it may not be able to get past the headphone jack. I would also clean that and any other corrosion on the board with isopropyl alcohol. If that doesn’t work for the sound, then I would replace the capacitors and the speaker. I get my replacement parts from a store called Handheld Legend, but I’m sure there’s many places to get them. I would replace the capacitors anyway even if that’s not causing the issues with the sound as it’s a good quality of life upgrade and will make your gameboy last longer, and it’s fairly easy if you know how to solder. Hope that helps. If it doesn’t, then please...
더 읽어보기I’ve got a board and I’m trying to find the traces for you. I’m not done yet but I’ve got somewhere for you to start at least. According to my testing all these pins should be connected to ground. Hope that helps. I’ll keep looking for the other pins but it’ll take time. I’ll get back to you when I get more info. Have a great day! Edit: Here’s some of the pins. These are the ones that are on this side of the board. Working on the others still.
더 읽어보기I would check for shorts along the m92 chip and the video chip. If any of the capacitors are shorted that means the chip has a short which could cause this. I think it’s more likely the video chip since I believe that’s what determines if the usbc acts as a video output or a charger. I’m not entirely sure because I haven’t been working with switches for too long but that is what I would recommend. Hope you can get it to work!
