The first on market models are inherently noisy because of the pump, not the heating block. Ours was a gift, and was just introduced to market. It is, and always has been, noisy when pumping, not when heating water. There's nothing you can do about this except buy a later version that has this issue worked out. This is why, as a rule, I do not buy first generation products. Descale, when it is needed, or indicated by some Keurig models, but do not overdo it. Using expensive, dollar a bottle, bottled water is silly, unnecessary, and actually adversely affects the flavor of good Arabica coffee. Tap water is best.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Finally a repair guide for we who don't buy into Apple's marketing, and paying for grossly overpriced hardware that's difficult to repair.
ALWAYS disconnect an appliance from mains electricity BEFORE attempting ANY repairs by unplugging (where appropriate) or turning it off at the breaker box, and leaving a warning to anyone to NOT flip the breaker back on. Also, place a strip of tape with this warning across the breaker. Otherwise, working on an energised appliance could have disastrous, even deadly effects or consequences!
What, and where is the "Lock Key" ? I was unable to find such on my grandson's Kindle Fire HD 8.9" tablet when I disassembled it.
I am an experienced fixer, so I don't believe that I missed anything.
Thanks!
