Hey, Sounds like you will need to have your Display replaced. The backlights appears to have failed. If you have a new display to hand, I would test it with your handset before doing a complete install. I hope this helps.
Hey, Does the phone boot up at all? Can you hear anything when you power it on? If you check the screen under a bright light or direct sunlight, can you see any cracks in the LCD. If you can see any lines beneath the glass you will need to replace the display.
I had the same issue. Plugging the phone into a charger and holding the power button10 seconds on and 10 seconds off. When you press the home button the phone charging symbol should then come on, and disappear. Your phone should then start charging as normal, I would advise leaving it to charge till its at least 50% powering it on again.
When the power button is disconnected does the phone still ask to be powered off etc? If yes then it's not a cable issue. If the phone asks to be powered off with the button reconnected you will need to replace the button/flex. I hope this helps
The heat shield should not affect the phones functionality. Its there to protect the LCD from excess heat, but your phone should still power on without it. The issue shouldn't be with the LCD if it was working prior to the install of the new battery. Do you have more than one new battery? Have you plugged the phone into the mains without the battery attached? If so what happened? If the phone comes up with the fruit logo with the battery detached, then your issue was with the battery and you will need to get it replaced. Not all new batteries will function and if you do not have a battery booster you will need to get a new battery. I hope this helps
Hey, I have repaired thousands of these and i have seen recently ( I am guessing after the latest update 9.3) the phone seems to manage the backlight differently and certain types of LCD can draw more power and blow the backlight coil. Various things can affect this, possibly get them to use a different part after replacing your Coil that is. I hope this helps
Hey, Your proximity sensor is damaged. They are light sensitive, and usually near the earpiece on the handset. It may be disconnected or need to be replaced, to resume full functionality. I have circled it in RED. Possibly open and check the connections with this handset.
Sounds like you have bought a copy display, which are known for this issue. Quality is key with this model iPhone. You will not get this issue with original quality displays. Possibly try: With the new display connected. Disconnect the battery and leave it on charge for 10 - 15 mins.
