bleed all of the brakes. you should be able to do that without any problem. but if the pedal goes to the floor… it looks like the system has air in it. check the brake booster, the master cylinder, etc…

HI. Dont know the exact procedure for the Golf. However, in my Polo and Octavia, the procedure is pretty much same and the Golf shouldn’t differ much. Open the trunk lid. Locate any possible screws and remove them (it might not have any…) Remove the plastic cover, its held in place from the inside with very strong clips, you might think that its going to brake.. It wont, but be careful anyway. Get some interior disassembly tools, it will make all the difference in the world.
I dont know about Jeep, but usualy idle speed is +-750 rpm . 1000 is a little high, but it depends on the engine. It might be several things first things. Try to check is the fuel delivery system / air intake system. Also check the crank positioning sensor... if its providing a bad reading the car may shutoff.
if is not commig from the radiator, hoses or reservoir it can only be comming from the waterpump... just checked images of your engine and sure looks like the waterpump is placed were you say the leak cames from. Not a DIY job, have a mechanic do it.
Turn the computer on and point a flashlight on the screen. If you can see stuff in the background is most likely an inverter issue. If you cannot, it is likely to be an issue with the LVDS cable. before you proceed, just make sure you can get a video output on an external monitor so you can discart any kind of gpu failure. Furthermore, Lenovo makes their service manuals available, here is yours.
make sure that that the sparkplugs are OK and have a mechanic check the engine timming belt (not a DIY job), i have seen a similiar situation when a timming belt was replaced with one that had just one more thooth..
