사용자에게 답변하기: MacBook isn't turning on and no charger light. What can cause this?If there’s no light on the magsafe connector it can be caused by a faulty dc in board but it could also be caused by a bad communication to the SMC. First check if the magsafe tip and the magsafe connector are in good shape, no burned pins, or small metallic debris stuck in the port. I would also swap the dc in board with a known working one. For more trouble shooting you’ll need a tech to check it out.

사용자에게 답변하기: Hot Air Soldering Station Under £400? iPhone Logic BoardsIf you could find a used Hakko FR-801 at a fair price that would be perfect. The only problem, this station is expensive even used. I use Pace (MBT 201 with 2 channels, SP-1A iron solder and SX-65 Xtractor + a Pace PPS-25A station coupled with the SensaTemp II Thermo Tweez. Also have a Hakko FP-102 station with the fantastic FM-2027 iron and a Hakko hot air station 851-2 that I recommend for small SMD work. The station uses a small hot air pencil that should be perfect fo iPhone mother boards repairs. Got it for $134 USD shipped from ebay USA (still sell for $650 by resellers in the US). I live in Canada so it's not too far away and shipping costs acceptables but our 0.75 dollar CDN sucks when dealing in US money LOL....

사용자에게 답변하기: Pulled Out A Particular Wireno it's not the fan cable. You can see part of the fan cable at the upper right of the pict. I think that your broken cable is for the isight camera or bluethoot or wifi not sure...try these functions.

사용자에게 답변하기: Power Button Not Working When Battery AttachedThere are two power circuits on the MBP logic board. One for the power provided by the charger and one for the power coming from the battery. To troubleshoot your system I would begin by using a known working battery cause maybe the battery is the culprit. But before doing this make sure the logic board is cleaned from the spill and inspect it carefully (both sides), check for corroded area, black short-circuit spots, anything abnormal.

사용자에게 답변하기: Half of Keyboard not working after water spillThe A1342 macbook keyboard can be replaced but it's a difficult job if you compare with the macbook pro keyboard replacement. The A1342 top case access to the keyboard is blocked by a black panel glued with resin (not easy to separate). There are no screws to retain the keyboard to the upper case but plastic melted spots so you have to heat the plastic spots to remove the keyboard and reheat these spots to reinstall the keyboard. Also unlike the MBP A1278 keyboard, the A1342 keyboard is hard to find especially the QWERTY french-canadian keyboard that has the same form factor that the AZERTY keyboard from FRANCE. If you have the France keyboard, the US keyboard wont fit in your top case, form factor is different (return key) For all theses reasons I think it's a better decision to buy a good working used top case instead of trying to replace a faulty keyboard in the A1342 macbook model.

사용자에게 답변하기: Unresponsive keyboard & trackpadI had a similar problem with a 15" MacBook Pro i7, no response from the trackpad and keyboard, no green light on the "caps lock key" only the power on button was functional. Replacing the trackpad and cable solved the issue for both the keyboard and trackpad functions.

사용자에게 답변하기: The keyboard has a bright spot in the middle keysDo you know if this computer is a liquid damaged one ? If all the keyboard keys are working well you just have to replace the keyboard backlight assembly. Check on ebay I think it's about $30.

사용자에게 답변하기: MacBook Pro Restarts randomlyCould be a problem with the power switch. To check it out, remove the bottom panel, disconnect the battery (always disconnect battery when working inside the machine), disconnect the keyboard cable, find the two power pads, short them with a small flat screwdriver (charger connected), fan should start rolling and you'll hear the startup chime. If the machine function normally without restarting then the keyboard (power switch) is faulty and has to be replaced. Added Info:

to remove and put back the ribbon cable in its slot I use a piece of scotch tape. Easier to remove or insert the cable in the slot.
Since this kind of connector and very fragile and easy to damage even with a spudger I use a needle that I insert in the front side of the connector, between the connector and the socket and only apply a little pressure while lifting up the needle. The connector will then pop up from one side. Repeat the procedure for the other side. With this method it's impossible to damage the connector. I adopted this method after ruining two or three connectors using the spudger.
