Acer Iconia B1-720 Troubleshooting
7 inch tablet manufactured by Acer in early 2014. Has 16 GB of internal storage with a 1200 MHz duel core processor.
- Tablet won't turn on
- Battery life is very short
- No audio or distorted audio through audio jack
- Camera won't turn on
- No audio/distorted audio from internal speaker
- Touchscreen input not responsive
Your tablet won't turn on even if it is fully charged.
Before opening your device, make sure the battery is fully charged. If it is, read on.
Try plugging your tablet directly into the wall. If it still will not turn on, it may have a faulty connection within the device. You will have to remove the back cover and check the wiring. If all the wiring is in place, read on.

Camera won't turn on when you select the camera app
There may be an operating system error that is causing your camera not to initialize. Try restarting your tablet and reopening the app.

Make sure the volume for the speaker is turned up so you can hear it.
Make sure the device is not connected to a external Bluetooth source.
If there is still no (or distorted) sound coming from the speaker in your tablet, it is likely the internal speaker is broken and will need to be replaced using this guide.
Your tablet is not recognizing the touch input on the front panel.
It may be possible that the touch screen is bad. If so, the screen will need to be replaced using this guide.
