Asus PadFone S won't turn on
He's dead, Jim.
Battery is dead
Your phone may be dead. Find your charger and plug in your phone. Allow the phone to charge for at least 20 minutes and try to turn it on.
Bad Display
The screen may be malfunctioning. If the phone feels like it is working properly, but the screen is blank, it is possible that the display is bad and must be replaced. The LCD and glass are a single unit, so they must both be replaced.
Bad Logic Board
If all else fails, your logic board could be bad and needs to be replaced. Head over to the Logic Board replacement guide.
Asus PadFone S is not charging
You have the power, all you need is the connection.
Bad Outlet
The outlet that you are using to charge your PadFone S could be broken or it could not have enough voltage output to charge your phone. Make sure the outlet has an output of 100-240 Volts.
Wrong Charger
The recommended cable and power adapter came with your PadFone S. If you are using another cable or power adapter it might not have the correct output for your phone. Make sure the output is 5 Volts, 2 Amps, 10 Watts.
Cable Wires are not connected/broken
Make sure the power cable used to charge your PadFone S is securely connected to a power source and to your phone. If there is a secure connection, but the phone is not charging, the wire may be broken. Try or purchase another cable to charge your PadFone S.
Charging dock is broken/obstructed
If you have recently visited the beach or your phone went for a swim, the charging dock on your PadFone S might be broken or obstructed. First make sure the micro-USB cable is also not obstructed. Use a small pair of tweezers or pen to gently knock loose any debris in your micro-USB and the charging dock. You can also use a compressed air can to remove the debris. If you are still unable to connect the micro-USB cable to the charging dock there is most likely water damage or the charging dock is bent. If this is the case you will have to replace the charging dock.
If none of these solutions work, the battery might need to be replaced. Head over to the Battery replacement guide.
Asus PadFone S unable to connect to Wi-Fi
I'm feeling a disturbance in the Wi-Fi.
Out of Range
If you have trouble connecting to Wi-Fi you may be out of range of the signal you were originally connected to. You phone may still be searching for that signal. Disconnect from the original signal and search for new open signals in your area.
Check Settings
Check your settings menu and make sure that you have Wi-Fi set to “on” and make sure that your phone is not on airplane mode. Both of these restrict access to incoming signals
Private Signal
Many Wi-Fi signals are password protected, requiring you to put in a code to connect to the signal. If you do not have the password your phone will not connect to that signal.
Bad Antenna
Your Wi-Fi antenna may be damaged due to prolonged use, keeping it from receiving signals. In this case the antenna must be replaced.
Asus PadFone S has become frozen or unresponsive
Your phone is stuck and won't obey any commands.
Restart the Phone
Overuse of your PadFone S can cause it to become unresponsive. The easiest solution is to restart your phone. To restart the PadFone S press and hold the wake/sleep button on the right hand side for 2-3 seconds until a menu appears. Select restart on the menu.
Very Low Battery
It’s possible for the PadFone S to be unresponsive if the battery level gets too low. Plug your PadFone S into your wall charger or laptop and let it charge for a while. This typically takes 15-20 Minutes.
Asus PadFone S pictures are fuzzy
My memory and my camera are a little fuzzy.
Dirt On Camera
At some point you may have smudged your camera’s lens. Gently wipe the lens with a dust resistant cloth until the pictures are no longer fuzzy.
Dirty Protective Lens
It is possible dirt, sand or dust may have gotten under the protective lens of the phone, resulting in fuzzy pictures. Carefully remove the lens cover and clean with a microfiber cloth. Once the lens is clean, put the cover back on the phone and take a test picture to test the lens.
If these solutions do not work check out the Back Camera guide or the Front Camera guide.

When I charge my phone, the usual orange light wasn't visible but sometimes it is blinking Red light. I don't think my cable is broken nor my charging dock. My phone did went for a little dip as it was hot. Battery then? I need confirmation because the spare parts aren't available locally so I'd have to order it online and I didn't want to start a collection of spares. Thank you.
P.S. This is urgent because I need to go to the 'gym'.
