Helpful Tips Before Troubleshooting ¶ 

  • Update software often
  • Only use on secured networks to ensure the least chance of hackers and viruses.
  • Use an anti- virus software to protect your tablet
  • Always back up your data especially any important files
  • Refrain from using your tablet in extremely high temperatures.
  • If you are not going to be accessing your tablet for a long period of time, shut the device off.
  • Prolong battery life by closing apps when finished.

Troubleshooting ¶ 

Screen isn’t responding to touch ¶ 

  • Clean screen (firmly rub cleaning cloth over entire screen pressing down firmly. )
  • Calibrate device
  • Reboot device
  • Factory reset
    • Note that before you factory reset, make sure that all files are backed up to ensure that loss of data and files is avoided.

Device Freezes ¶ 

  • Reboot device using force shutoff (hold down power key until device shuts off).
  • If it continues to freeze, update the software if needed.
  • Also, calibrate the screen.
  • Factory reset.
    • Note that before you factory reset, make sure that all files are backed up to ensure that loss of data and files is avoided.

Power button not responding ¶ 

  • Make sure the power button is not stuck down in device, if so unstick by prying upward with a fine tool such as a needle or knife.
  • Restart
  • Factory reset.

Poor battery life, charging issues. ¶ 

  • Follow tips provided at top of page to ensure proper charging techniques
  • Battery life does digress with usage and age.
  • If it seems irregular follow these steps.
  • If device is not responding to charger, try a different charger, it could be the charger and not the actual device having problems. Chargers are more common to break rather that device.
  • Unplug device when it is competed with charge, never keep plugged in for long periods of time.
  • You may be able to replace the battery rather than buying a new device.

Camera lag/black screen ¶ 

  • Switch camera view front/back
  • Take a picture, if screen stays black or continues to lag continue…
  • Turn camera app off and back on
  • Restart device
  • Factory reset
    • Note that before you factory reset, make sure that all files are backed up to ensure that loss of data and files is avoided.

Poor Wi-fi Connection ¶ 

  • Ensure your modem is sending out Wi-fi capability. Reset modem if you believe it is not.
  • Turn off and on Wi-fi capability and Reconnect device to Wi-fi on your device.
  • Please note that the Connection may be poor due to service and not device.
  • Reboot device if you believe the device is the issue.
  • Factory reset.
