Computer Will Not Power On
The laptop will make a flickering light or not power on at all.
Defective Battery
First, check if the battery is dead by plugging in the laptop charger. While plugged in, if the laptop turns on but the battery in not charging, then the battery is defective. Check battery replacement guide for the Asus UL30VT-A1. If the laptop still will not boot up after checking the battery then try a different AC adapter that has the same voltage. Problem may lie in the Motherboard
Lastly, if you press the power on button and the LED light is flickering, try connecting an external monitor and see if you get any display. If any of these options do not work the problem may lie in the motherboard.

Dirty air vents
The first thing you’ll want to do is find where the heat is coming from the laptop . Laptop need a way to expel the hot air created by their components, if there’s no air flow this means no heat, transfer, so in this case first you should be figuring out where all air vents from the laptop is located at. Most laptops they have vents from the bottoms in order from them to let the computer start working.
Faulty Fan

Distorted Image
The cost on many laptops screen cost is about $80-$100 and a couple hours of your time. It’s better to replace your computer parts as you learn. It is a good investment to repair something simple as your screen. You will have to make sure that the screen has to be replaced and not other parts, such as your power connect or power on button.
Broken Frame or Screen
You can check clearly that your need a screen replacement if your screen is broken but if your not sure because there is no cracks then I would recommend you to connect it to your desktop monitor or television to see if the image appears clearly. In some cases the screws are not a problem and you can easily removed the frame. Constant Crashing, Slow, Not Recognizing Storage
The first thing you will want to do is check if the laptop is registering your drive. If not you will need to open up your laptop. If so backup all your data. Remember to always power off your device before doing any hands on work.
Damaged Power/Motherboard Connectors
Inspect your hard drive to make sure its connectors are properly fastened. You also want to make sure none of the connectors are physically damaged. Remember there are multiple connector running to your motherboard and power supply. In case they are you will want to buy a replacement cable and swap it out.
Damaged Hard Drive

Difficulty Typing
The keyboard keys are not registering when in use. The first thing you want to do is to check which keys are unresponsive. You can open a Word document and check each keys one by one to see if they work.
Faulty Keys
