Atari 5200 Troubleshooting

• Check the power to the console. The red LED should be lit.

• Check the visual connection from the console to the RF adapter, and from the RF adapter to the television. Coaxial cables can be finicky, try reseating them. If this fails, continue, and failing that, replace the RF adapter.

• Check the cartridge. Try reseating it in the console. If this fails, check the cartridge guide.

• Try replacing the power supply. These can go bad, providing insufficient power.

• If all else fails, a motherboard replacement might be necessary.

• This can be due to a dirty/dislodged number pad. Check this guide for information.
