If your Beats Solo 4 will not power on when you press the button to power them on, or charge them, follow this page for solutions.
Depleted Battery
One thing that can keep the Beats Solo 4's from not powering on is being completely drained.
- To see if this is the issue, Charge the Beats Solo 4's for 30 minutes, and turn them on
- If this Doesn't work, try hard resetting them
- Hold the volume and power buttons down simultaneously for 10 - 15 seconds. The LED should flash red if it worked properly
If the Issue persists, the problem may not be with the battery itself
Faulty Cord
Another thing that can lead to the Beats Solo 4's to stop working entirely is that the cord may not even be working.
- Try to charge your Beats Solo 4's for another 30 minutes using a different USB-C charger that you have confirmed works
- Follow the same process of trying to power them on normally; trying the power button normally, and hard resetting if it fails.
If your Beats Solo 4's still continue to not power on, then the issue may be with the charging port itself
Broken Charging Port
The charging port of the Beats Solo 4's being damaged or dirty could prevent them from charging.
******
Check if your port is faulty in any capacity
- Plug a cord into the port and see if it wiggles. If the port wiggles with the cord moving, then it means that the port is broken and may not be capable of charging the Beats Solo 4's.
- Look to see if the prong/prong's are bent or damaged. if they are, they will not charge the Beat Solo 4's properly.
- if there is no lining between where the prong in the charging port is and the actual wall of the phone, then the port is broken. This is known as the "center tongue". You have to look very closely to notice it, so be sure to take a very close look.
If you didn't find any damage in the port, there is a chance you did find debris
Debris in the Charging Port
If the port is dirty, you will need to clean it in order to make it work properly again
CAUTION : DO NOT INSERT CONDUCTIVE MATERIALS IN THE BEATS SOLO 4'S CHARGING PORT
- If you have access to one, use an ESD-Safe brush to clean out the port
- If you do not have the brush, you can also use a WOODEN toothpick, plastic dental floss, an air duster, a "modified toothbrush", and even the adhesive on a sticky note or tape.
If the battery does not charge up after that there is most likely an internal problem that requires repair.
