Garmin Dash Cam 35 No Display

If your Garmin Dash Cam 35 is responsive to powering on, but doesn't display anything on the screen, follow these steps to restore your display.

Screen saver mode is a setting that turns the LCD screen off after a short time to reduce distraction while driving. The camera is still recording, but the display is off. To disable this setting, you first press the menu button on the device. Then choose the setup option, you'll see the screen saver option, and you will have the ability to disable the setting.

Sometimes the screen will not light if it isn't receiving a stable voltage. This can be due to the power cable or power source not providing the needed voltage. To check, plug your device into a USB port on a computer instead of your car. If the screen turns on, then your vehicle's USB port is faulty and may need to be replaced. If the screen still doesn't turn on, then try a different power cable and power source. If the screen doesn't turn on, then it may be an issue with the mainboard or power rail.

A firmware glitch can cause the screen to not turn on. A soft reset could fix this issue. First, you'll need to disconnect the power source. Then you'll need to hold the power button for 10-15 seconds. Finally, you'll release the power button and power on the device again.
