HP Chromebook 14 G4 Freezing Randomly

First, clear all tabs and apps running and restart your Chromebook.
After your Chromebook restarts, open your settings and search "About Chrome OS" in the search bar then click on "Check for Updates."
Click on any available updates and begin running them. Keep your Chromebook plugged in to avoid it powering off in the middle of an update.

Follow the next steps if the method does not resolve this issue.

Simple reset could fix freezing.

To reset your Chromebook, click on the time icon in the bottom-right corner and select the power icon to turn off your Chromebook.
Choose the option "Restart" and the Chromebook will shut down.
