If your HP EliteBook 830 G6 camera shows a black screen, does not respond, or displays a “No camera found” error, try these troubleshooting steps. Follow each solution in order to restore camera functionality.
Privacy Shutter Is Closed
Problem: The camera lens is physically blocked by the built-in privacy shutter.
Solution:
- Locate the small slider above the display.
- Move it to open the camera shutter.

Camera Permissions Are Disabled in Windows
Problem: Windows privacy settings may prevent apps from accessing your camera.
Solution:
- Open Settings → Privacy → Camera.
