Screen freezes
While using the phone, touching the screen or hitting the back button no longer change the view on-screen.
Memory or processing power has been overloaded
You may need to delete excess photos, videos, contacts, music, etc. in order to allow for faster computing speeds.
- Reset phone by holding power button
- If resetting the phone does not work, remove the battery and then put the battery back into the phone and turn the phone back on.
Water damage
Water could have damaged the battery or short circuited the motherboard.
- If the phone comes into contact with water, remove the battery and place both the phone and battery separately in either a bag or container of uncooked rice to help remove the water .
- If water is still present within the phone screen, before putting the phone back together use a hair dryer to evaporate the water inside.
Defective Hardware
Factors such as water damage or overheating may cause components of the motherboard to fail or malfunction, in which case you may need to replace your motherboard.
Camera won't work
For whatever reason, you cannot see through the camera lens or picture is consistently blurry.
Defective camera hardware
Phone is relatively new and the picture application will either not work properly or takes consistently blurry pictures.
- The camera inside your phone may have faulty wiring, in which case you will need to replace the camera.
Dirt/debris
Lint, dust, dirt, and water all commonly seep into the cracks of the phone and may be covering your camera lens.
- Use a microfiber cloth to polish the external camera lens and if problem persists, remove the casing and remove debris from inside the phone.
Phone won’t turn on
A black screen persists despite holding/hitting the power button.
Dead battery
The battery either has no power left or will not hold a charge.
- Connect the phone, with the battery inside of it, to its designated charger and search for a indication that the phone is charging, after two hours turn on the phone.
- If the phone does not turn on, this may mean that battery will not hold a charge, in this situation you will need to replace the battery.
Keyboard/touchscreen is unresponsive
When clicking or swiping icons on screen, the phone does not respond.
Water damage
When coming in contact with water or liquids, the internal components may corrode or short circuit, causing the icons to becoming unresponsive.
- If the phone comes in contact with water immediately take out the battery and place the phone and battery into rice.
- If water is still present within the phone screen, before putting the phone back together use a hair dryer to evaporate the water inside.
Damage due to impact (dropping)
Dropping your phone one too many times may jar loose cables or wires inside the phone.
- You may need to disassemble the phone to replace jarred components, including anything from your touchscreen to your motherboard.
No audio or distorted/fuzzy sound
A crackling or buzzing sound comes through the speaker when in use.
Faulty speaker hardware
The problem may be caused by the music file quality, a glitch in the audio software, or a busted speaker.
- If restarting the phone does not clear up the sound quality, you may consider replacing the speaker.
Busted speaker
Due to wear and tear or use of a volume that is too high for the speaker can damage the speaker and cause it to break.
- You will have to replace the speaker.
