Overheating
The computer is hot to the touch and may shut down due to internal temperatures
Obstructed Fans
The issue of overheating can also be encountered if fans are blocked, which can occur internally and externally. Externally, ensure nothing is blocking the airflow for the fan, internally ensure no dust has accumulated to the point where it is blocking the airflow as it exits the computer.
Blue Screen of Death
The issue of your MSI GE70 2PE Apache Pro shuts down unexpectedly prompting a wall of text on a blue screen. This can occur when your computer has encountered a critical error that it can’t resolve
Faulty Hard Drive
It's possible that the hard drive aboard the MSI GE70 2PE Apache Pro may be faulty after years of use, or have harbored issues since manufacturing. If the blue screen of death contains error codes referencing faulty memory, consider replacing you hard drive.
Missing or Incorrect Device Drivers
This issue may be caused by missing drivers, ensure all device drivers are up to date. Alternatively, incorrect drivers may have been installed for your peripheral devices, re-install any new drivers you may have installed, ensuring your using the correct versions.
Faulty RAM
It's possible the RAM aboard the MSI GE70 2PE Apache Pro may be faulty after years of use or since manufacturing, if the blue screen of death contains error codes referencing flash memory, consider replacing your RAM

Use Calibration Tool
The first step suggested in troubleshooting battery issues is running the MSI Battery Calibration tool found pre-installed, in most cases, this tool will diagnose the issue associated with the battery, or identify power management settings that may be causing rapid discharges.
Faulty Battery
If the rapid discharge is not being caused by incorrect power management settings, the next likely cause is a faulty battery. This can occur from poor manufacturing, reduced charge capacity from extended use or a number of other reasons. Under these circumstances it is recommended that the battery pack be replaced
Device Won't Turn On
The MSI GE70 2PE Apache Pro fails to power on
Damaged Charge Port
The most common cause of this issue is a damaged charge port. The charge port will require replacing which involves disassembly of the device to gain access to all internal components. It is recommended that the other solutions listed below be attempted first.
Missing Power Source
Without running power the device will not be able to power on. Ensure it is plugged in and that the battery is nominally charged. If this fails it's possible the power chord or battery may need to be replaced.
Broken Motherboard
If nothing else works, it's possible that there's been severe internal damage, and we'll need to replace the motherboard.
