Magellan RoadMate 1200 Troubleshooting
"The screen is black and/or not turning on."
Your battery may be discharged. Plug your RoadMate into your computer using a mini-USB cable and then try turning on the device. If that works, you will have to wait about 30 minutes until the battery is fully charged.

"The device turns on, but the screen only shows solid white."
The screen may not be seated properly (link coming). When an LCD screen is receiving power, but no signal, it defaults to white.
The firmware for the GPS may have been wiped. You will need to send the device back to Magellan in order to get it back.
"The software cannot communicate with the GPS"
The USB cable may be damaged. Try using another cable. If that doesn't work, the USB terminal may have come loose.
